Bible Reading:

“And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hands.”

1 Samuel 17:47 (KJV)

THE MESSAGE

When David confronted the giant he never called Goliath by his name; instead, he said, “Who is this uncircumcised Philistine?” David was saying, “I know myself; I am circumcised, and by virtue of my circumcision, I have right over you.” One thing you must close your ears to is Satan’s lies. If you read 1 Samuel 17, you’ll see that many of the verses were used to describe Goliath’s armour. But as you continue reading, you will discover that at no time did Goliath use any piece of armour. Instead, he used intimidating words to reduce David’s image. But David said, “No! I know myself. I am circumcised!” This is what brought Goliath down.

A lot of voices are telling you today that you cannot succeed. You cannot make it. You are a failure. You come from a poor family background, and no member of your family has ever made it. Challenges and infirmity flow through your family lineage. But child of God, your case is different. Even if others did not make it, you will be the first to do so. Society will hear you. Your days of defeat are over. Your days of frustration are over. Whatever has overcome you in the past, from today onwards, you will now overcome.

By the authority of heaven, you are released from intimidation. You will be celebrated and, you will be fulfilled. Your star will shine. I call out every gift, every talent, and whatever else God has put in you that makes you unique and stand out. I speak to the sun that controls the seasons, and command that every season of yours that has been delayed be released in Jesus’ name.
