Bible Reading:

“Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.”

Psalm 91:5-6 (KJV)

One thing that often consumes man is fear: fear of the unknown, fear of what might happen, fear of the enemy, or fear of the unwanted. Fear, fear, fear. Today, I come to announce to you that God has your back covered all the time-not once in a while or only during the day. God is telling you in this text that you have round-the-clock protection in your life.

I once heard a story about a woman who lived during World War II. All the houses around her house had been levelled to the ground but hers was still standing. People wondered what had happened, and she told them that when she read in the scriptures that her keeper neither slumbered nor slept she made up her mind to sleep and let her keeper do His job (Psalm 121:4). This is very profound!

The truth is that we often read the Bible, but we hardly believe what we read. We read with one eye and our mind while the other eye is wondering how to fix a challenge we are facing. I thought you said you were handing over the challenge to God? You may have said this, but the truth is that as you stood up from the place of prayer you took the challenge with you. I challenge you to let God, who is an expert in handling our situations, do the job. He knows exactly how to cover you round the clock. He protects you from “terror by night”, which includes thieves, night marauders, kidnappers, witches, and wizards. He protects you from “arrows that fly by day”, such as stray bullets, accidents, incrimination, etc.

He protects you from “pestilence that walks in darkness”, such as deadly viruses or conspiracies against you. He protects you from “destruction that wasteth at noon day”, such as terrorist attacks in public places, political intrigue, etc. You should not tolerate fear in your life. God already has you covered 24/7. Be bold, be strong, and be confident that God has your back.
